Various and varied work
At our work you work in a professional company with modern cultivation techniques. Every working day is different, so you will enjoy variation in your work.
What are you going to do?

Daily management of the cultivation strategy on 32 hectares, spread over several locations.

Managing, coaching and developing the cultivation team, while you are a cultivation specialist of one location.

Coordinate with cultivation and bio information officers, fertilizer advisers and seed breeding companies.

Daily crop control and adjustment for optimum growth, production and quality.

Optimizing climate, irrigation, fertilization and crop protection in collaboration with the cultivation team

Active participation in internal and external knowledge meetings.

Participating every week in MT consultation, in which you play a key role in decision-making on the cultivation strategy.

Reporting to the commercial director, who is also ultimately responsible for cultivation matters.
Who are you?
-
An HBO course in horticulture, plant sciences, plant science, agribusiness or similar or an equivalent level through work experience and practice-oriented courses.
-
Extensive knowledge of climate control, plant physiology and technical skills.
-
At least 8 years of demonstrable work experience in a cultivation function, preferably in pepper cultivation.
-
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both orally and in writing.
-
Living preferably within 30 minutes from Berkel and Rodenrijs.

Willingness to run weekend breakdown service once every three weeks (available with a backup colleague).

Daily physical presence on location required.
